Give all editors on list the same chance to get work
As jobs seem to be going very quickly, I'd comment
(a) are you altering the order of your e-mail list, so that every editor on your list gets the same chance to pick up work - if not, why not? (i.e. if you don't, the first five editors on your list will do well, and the rest of us will shrug and walk away) and
(b) the log-in time is slow; 'staying' logged in is no guarantee that I'll get to look at a job as soon as it comes in (i.e. sometimes I can, but more often than not I get asked to log in again).

Inappropriate?Dear John
No, we are not shuffling the email list, though it's a pretty cool idea. When it comes to getting new business, please don't walk away just yet. We are growing Wordy from scratch, and getting volume takes time. I'll look into your idea about shuffling the email lists. Thank you for your patience.

Inappropriate?Dear John
We have now implemented shuffling of email lists, and are working on a new notification system. Again, thank you for your great idea.

Thanks for letting me know, Anders. I will certainly keep watching for Wordy e-mails. -
Shuffling email lists is a brilliant idea! -
Inappropriate? What list? Is there a Help section that describes these things--apart from the various entries of Qs & As on each page? Especially, is there a description of how job openings are presented to registered editors? Are all openings posted for all categories of subject matter for all to see at any time? Is an email on a particular opening sent by random selection to only one editor or to all? Will differences in time zones affect chances for U.S. editors? Are all jobs generated from Europe? Thanks.

Inappropriate?Dear Wanda
The 'list' is the list of the 113 editors on Wordy. At the moment everyone gets the same mail about jobs - that said we need more intelligent filtering, when Wordy starts to gain traction. Three things happen when a new job comes in:
- An email is sent to everyone (you can adjust this in account settings
- Job info is posted on twitter (twitter.com/jobsonwordy)
- The job is listed under 'Open jobs' in My Wordy
It's still to early to say where customers are from, but the trend is from _everywhere_. My guess is the distribution of Wordy (in blog- and cms-systems) will underline this trend.

Inappropriate?Really hoping the site picks up steam and more jobs are available soon, as well as the new filtering system. The jobs get snatched up immediately; there isn't time for anyone to review them, save for the one or two folks lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time when those e-mails go out.
Fingers crossed! -
Inappropriate?I like the idea of shuffling email lists. I didn't even join until after Anders said he implemented that, though, and still have had no luck getting to a job before it's gone. I've even clicked on jobs the second they've come into my inbox and they're still gone. Another problem is that, if you are in the U.S., many of the emails come in between 3:00 and 5:00 in the morning! It's very frustrating. I appreciate that Wordy is trying to get new clients as fast as it can, but maybe it should also put a hold on accepting new editors? Maybe put them on a waiting list?

Inappropriate?Dear Kim
Thanks for your feedback - new editors will be put on hold until Wordy gains momentum. To avoid inbox clutter you can turn off notifications of new jobs on http://www.wordy.com/settings and in stead follow new job postings on http://twitter.com/jobsonwordy.

How will we be notified once we are no longer on hold? And what is the definition of a "new" editor? -
Inappropriate?Dear Kim
Sorry for this late reply. We have now processed all recent editor registrations - since we both have to mark tests and check credentials this process usually takes around 7 to 14 days. New editors are per definition editors joining from today.
